Dr. Gerhard Malherbe

MBChB, CCFP, FCFP, PgDip (Derm)

Gerhard received his medical training and developed his considerable surgical skills in South Africa. His first 10 years in Canada were spent as a General Practitioner serving Consort, Alberta. In 2008 Gerhard and his family discovered Squamish and never looked back. Here he has practiced family medicine including emergency room care and obstetrics. Since 2013 he’s provided caesarean section back-up (elective and emergency) all along the Sea to Sky corridor. When he’s not on call, Gerhard enjoys mountain biking and road cycling.
