List of concerns

Acne

Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin condition, common among teenagers, but can affect all ages. Overproduction of sebum and build up of dead skin cells leads to clogged pores, from blackhead and whiteheads, to cystic nodular acne. This can lead to stress, anxiety, low self esteem and general insecurities. With a combination of physician directed topical and treatments, there are options for all concerns and budgets. Acne is generally a progressive disease, so controlling it early will prevent pigmentation and scarring down the road.

Acne Scars

Acne scars are permanent textural changes and indentations that occur on the skin as the result of acne. Ice pick, rolling and boxcar scars are all examples of long term scarring that can negatively affect self esteem and confidence.

Body And Facial Contouring

Non-surgical body and facial contouring and fat reduction permanently reduce and remove stubborn pockets of fat to contour and shape different areas of the body. These treatments work best on stubborn pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise, and it is not a weight loss solution. These minimally invasive treatments have little to no downtime and can easily be fit into your busy lifestyle.

Body Shaping

Emsculpt is a revolutionary non-invasive body contouring treatment that targets fat and strengthens muscle. As a result of this dual mechanism of action, it can help to achieve definition that’s not possible with other body contouring treatments by simultaneously burning fat and building muscle for defined abs and lifted buttocks.

Cosmetic Removal

Cosmetic removals are performed to improve overall cosmetic appearance by reshaping or adjusting anatomy to make it more visually appealing. These are not considered medically necessary but often greatly improve patient confidence and self esteem.

Available Treatments

Often caused by genetics, many find that they have an increased number of fat cells under their chin (also known as the submental), causing a “double chin” effect that isn’t proportional to the rest of the body. Loose skin can also enhance the appearance of a double chin, causing insecurities in many.

Dry Skin

Dull and dry skin can happen to everyone, typically as the seasons change into winter most people notice their skin is visibly dehydrated and lacking glow. Some are also just prone to drier skin than others due to genetics. Enlarged Pores

Over time, our pores stretch to accommodate for oil production, and once they have stretched, they don’t have the ability to “shrink” again. Ensuring that the pores are clear of congestion and debris will help to reduce their appearance, as well as stimulating collagen between them to make them appear smaller on the surface.

Excessive Sweating

Excessive sweating can be an embarrassing problem. There are options to give long term relief so you can go back to wearing colored t-shirts and shaking hands without fear of excessive sweat.

Available Treatments

Laxity and Sagging Skin

Over time, factors such as aging, genetics, sun exposure, stress, weight fluctuations and smoking reduces fibroblast function, leading to a decrease in collagen and elastin. Anchoring fibrils in the Dermal Epidermal Junction also weaken over time, leading to excessive laxity, which first signs are often seen around the jowl area.

Permanent Contraception

After abstinence, vasectomies are considered the most effective forms of birth control due to the long term success rate of over 99%. The testicles produce sperm that travel through a tube called the vas deferens. The vas deferens or “vas” continues to travel through the prostate before joining with the vas on the other side to become the urethra, which exits through the penis. The goal in a vasectomy is to block both vas, therefore allowing you to ejaculate semen with no sperm. With no sperm, you cannot make your partner pregnant.

Stubborn Fat

Once we hit our mid 20s, the number of fat cells in our body stops increasing and we maintain relatively the same amount throughout the rest of adulthood. The distribution of these fat cells are primarily genetic, and cannot be changed. For these individuals, no amount of diet or exercise will get rid of those areas of fat.

Wrinkles and Fine Lines

Wrinkles and fine lines are a natural part of the aging process, accelerated by skin dehydration, UV exposure and smoking. Genetics and environment play a large part in the rate of collagen and elastin loss, and while they are a natural part of aging, prevention and slowing the formation is key in preventing excessive and early signs of aging.
